Cookies & storage
We keep things light here too. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels — just a little local storage to make the game work the way you'd expect.
Last updated: 12 June 2026
Like most websites, Olympus Sunrise uses small amounts of storage in your browser. Here we explain, plainly, what we store and why — and how to clear it.
What we store, and why
We use your browser's local storage for a small number of essential things:
- Age confirmation— so that once you've told us you're 18 or over, we don't ask you again on every visit.
- Your storage choice— to remember whether you selected “Accept all” or “Essential only” on our storage notice.
- Game preferences — settings such as sound, music and display, where the game offers them, so the game feels the same next time.
These are functional, essential to the experience, and stay on your own device. They are not used to build an advertising profile of you.
What we don't do
- We don't use advertising or marketing cookies.
- We don't use analytics cookies unless we clearly say so here first.
- We don't sell or share what's stored on your device.
If we ever introduce analytics in future, we'll describe it on this page and seek your consent where required.
Your choices on the storage notice
When you first visit, you'll see a short storage notice with two buttons:
- Accept all— you're happy for us to keep the functional items above, including saving your game preferences.
- Essential only— we keep just what's needed for the site to work, such as your age confirmation and the record of your choice.
How to delete your local data
You're always in control. To remove what's stored, you can clear site data for Olympus Sunrise from your browser:
- Chrome / Edge:Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → choose “Cookies and other site data”, or clear data for this site specifically.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search for the site → Remove.
- Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → remove the site.
Clearing this data simply means you'll see the welcome screen and storage notice again next time you visit.
